Why is it so important to give back to our community?
We at Viva La B’ida strongly believe in giving back and that it is imperative to find a cause with which we can enrich our communities back in Mexico and our community locally. By immersing ourselves in a community and surrounding ourselves with individuals who are dedicated to bettering the world, together we can gain a unique sense of purpose by serving others. Together we can make our world a better and happier place. Regardless of the amount we can contribute, the heart of the donor is what counts – that's you.
Viva La B’ida Toy Drive December 2020
Background:
I, Jennifer Hernandez, the creator of Viva La B’ida, had a lifetime goal. As you may know, I grew up in rural Mexico, where opportunities are limited. Families cannot afford presents for their children. When I was 8 years old, a family from Mexico City came to my pueblo (small town) to hand out presents on Día de los Reyes Magos, January 6 (Epiphany). With tears in my eyes, grateful and filled with joy, that day I knew I had to do the same for other children as an adult. 2020 was the year I decided to act, through my small business and with your help, we were able to bring a small gift and smile to children who needed it the most. I couldn't think of anyone better to share this incredible journey and dream.
